“Perimenopause” and “menopause” are words that seem to be appearing all over the place these days. You would think that with all of the buzz surrounding them, women would finally have the solutions we need to all of the symptoms that come along with this time of our lives, but sadly, we don’t.
I, for one, have not been completely happy with what western medicine has to offer in terms of treatments for various issues I have had over the years, especially as someone with autoimmune disease who is now dealing with perimenopausal-related symptoms. I had been looking for more natural alternatives to traditional therapies when I stumbled across a company called NeuEve and decided to give some of their products a try.
NeuEve was founded by Dr. Renji Chang, a Chinese immigrant and OB-GYN who has delivered tens of thousands of babies and has been working on products like the ones she makes for NeuEve, for years. She is clearly qualified and experienced, and seems to genuinely care about the well-being of her customers. Her products are all-natural and do not involve hormone-therapy, something I wanted to avoid.
Looking through NeuEve’s blog, I was pleased to find articles on issues from Lichen Sclerosus, to the use of HRT, and how to discern between the many types of infections from which women may suffer, as these are topics our doctors often do not take the time to discuss with us at length during appointments. NueEve has a much better approach.
In addition to selling quality, all-natural products including supplements, salves and suppositories, NueEve aims to educate its customers on how our bodies function and how various ingredients work to treat common and perhaps not-so-common symptoms. Since last spring, I have been subscribing to four of NueEve’s products including their soft-gel multivitamins, which are easier to swallow, less expensive and offer more nutrients than the previous product I was buying.
Dr. Chang’s son, Kevin Tao, the cofounder of NeuEve, posts educational videos on YouTube and TikTok about vaginal health that are extremely informative and beyond helpful. I am highly impressed by the manner in which Kevin presents information, as he simplifies things for the layperson without speaking down to women.
When you shop on NueEve’s site, you can learn about how each ingredient works and why it is included in a product. The company also provides stellar customer service. Any questions I have emailed them were answered in a timely manner and received a very thorough response. The one time I wanted to exchange a product (as I purchased the incorrect formula) they took care of it quickly, going as far as to email me new instructions and offering to provide additional guidance if needed. It’s truly amazing!
While it’s unfortunate that many women often still do not receive the level of healthcare we should, and that we are not formally educated about anything other than the most basic functions of our bodies, it is so fortunate that a company like NeuEve exists. I hope NeuEve continues to thrive, and that other companies are taking note of how they do business and are inspired to mimic their approach. So far, I have been beyond pleased.
